What Is 2nd Day Hair?
Second-day hair is the styling reality we all face eventually: your wash-day look has faded, your roots are slightly oily, and your ends need a reset, but a full shampoo isn't in the plan. Should you wash your hair every day? For most hair types, the answer is no. Daily washing with traditional shampoo may strip natural oils, but Surface’s clean formulations will not and may be used daily.Â
Surface's 2nd Day Hair collection is built for style memory, helping your hair hold its shape and texture for longer so you get lasting looks without a full wash.
Revive Your Style Without Rewashing
Blowout Dry Oil Spray
A dry conditioning oil spray is the fastest way to bring a style back to life. Formulated with lightweight hydrators and smoothing agents, it reactivates your existing product, tames flyaways, and restores softness to dry or stiff hair. Refresher spray can also help de-frizz without the need for heavier products.
Curls Frizz Free Spray Gel
As curls dry out overnight, their pattern loosens and frizz increases. Use Curl Frizz Free Spray Gel to deliver moisture and hold to reshape each curl as a day-two pick me up. It complements our leave-in conditioners for a layered, hydrated refresh. Â
How to Refresh Hair Between Washes
Knowing how to refresh curly hair on day two means working smarter, not harder. Spritz a leave-in conditioner like our Curls Replenish to reintroduce moisture, then scrunch curls back into shape or smooth waves with your palms. For straight or wavy hair, a light mist of Dry Oil Spray & Blowout Texture Spray at the roots, followed by a pass with a round brush, revives shape and volume. If roots are oily, add dry shampoo before your refresher spray to absorb excess sebum first. Finish by applying a small amount of your original styler where necessary, then let air-dry or diffuse on low heat. Â
Refresh and revive with the Surface Hair 2nd Day collection.
