I have been on the hunt for a Violet conditioner that actually does what it says, it does because so far some of the ones I have came across first off the smell is very chemical leaves your hair smelling as if you just used a box dye which us girlies do not wanna walk around with our hair smelling like chemicals we wanna smell good and one of the first things I noticed about the surface Conditioner was how good it smelled. I’m a 27 year old female from the Midwest and I’ve had platinum blonde hair for about 10 years now. My natural hair color is a dishwater ash blonde so oftentimes I’ll let my hair grow out a couple inches between each dye job into an ombré situation to minimize damage. I really love surface hairs products so I was very excited to try their violet line and these didn’t disappoint! After shampooing I dispense about a quarter size amount of this into my palm and work it into my hair, starting at the ends and moving up to my mid lengths. I was so excited to try this out. This is the first time I have ever tried anything like this before. I have blond hair but over the last couple years it has gotten a little darker a little duller. I think it has a lot to do with my water being really hard. I have dry hair but my scalp can get greasy. This conditioner is very thick and dark violet and it gets into the hair so nice. It's think enough to really let it sit for the 2 to 5 mins they want you to. Because my hair is dry and thin and not in its best of shape right now I only wash my hair every other day so I have only used this 3 times but I my hair is really starting to lighten up. I can see my lighter strands again and that's great! My hair is really feeling dried out though so I am going to pick up a good deep condition to use at the head of every week or something. Im a licensed cosmetologist, so when it comes to purple shampoo and conditioner Im extremely picky. Most create too much build up, will stain your hands and shower and often leave your hair feeling extremely dry. I recently tried the Surface Violet conditioner following the shampoo and instantly noticed its amazing light and fruity smell. It also felt good during application and slide through my thick hair easily. I left it on for a while as I always do when using a toning shampoo or conditioner. After I rinsed and dried my hair looked and felt great, as far as the toning goes, it wasn’t quite as cooling as I hoped.
