The Awaken Therapeutic line focuses on scalp health and aims to strengthen and thicken hair with organic botanicals and natural ingredients. I was already familiar with this line by Surface because my hair stylist used the mousse on me, which I loved! I'm in my 30's with fine hair that's unfortunately thinning around my temples; so when I heard there's a line designed with my hair troubles in mind, I got excited!

This was practically love at first wash! The Awaken Shampoo feels so invigorating! The peppermint tingles and stimulates the scalp, it's like a literal wake up call for your hair follicles-- grow hair, grow! Revitalizing. Rejuvenating. Refreshing. The sensation alone will keep me using it. Side note: My husband used the shampoo to wash his beard and was yelling from the shower, "what is this sorcery!" He was surprised by the tingles but loved it too, haha.

I'm also impressed by the carefully chosen ingredients Capsicum, Amaranth Protein, and Babassu Oil. They say the key to faster and stronger hair growth is a healthy scalp, and Awaken Shampoo helps cultivate that.

I have been using Surface Awaken for 11 Years now. I am very happy and satisfied with the product. I use the whole Awaken Line. Every couple of months I also use the Surface Purify Clarifying Shampoo and One Shot.

I have noticed new growth, my hair and scalp have improved, and my hair has filled in where it was sparse. After 11 Years, I am so happy that I have found a product I have been totally committed to.

I have used the product before and loved it. I ordered it on line this time, when it arrived it was frozen. I am hoping it doesn't degrade the quality of the product. Fingers crossed!!

I have been using this for 2 weeks now, I typically only wash my hair 2 times a week but man it feels amazing using this shampoo and condition. The name certainly fits. Your scalp for sure feels awake after. Can't wait to see the long term effect.
