I was not familiar with this brand or product prior to trying the Blowout High Gloss Rinse. This was an easy to use product that’s applied in the shower. You simply saturate you hair with product after squeezing out the excess water after your normal shampoo and conditioner. After 30 seconds, you rinse your hair. I liked that I didn’t need to leave this on for long at all. The scent was light and pleasant. My hair felt smoother but maybe a bit less so than after just using conditioner- I think it removed some of the weight of the creamy/heavier conditioner I use. I was worried this would lead my hair to become frizzy but I used the Blow Dry Oil in combination with this product and achieved better than anticipated results. This is a product I’ll continue to use and I’ll also try it with some different styling products to see how well it works with other routines, since I do change up my shampoo/conditioner/styling products.

The Surface Hair Blowout Rinse claims to shine, smooth and protect. I’m not sure if it delivers on each of these points. I understand why this is supposed to be used as the last step in your hair care routine in the shower but I wish it was more hydrating and conditioning. Using it AFTER my conditioner made my hair so tangly and just felt awful in the shower. I am assuming it did protect my hair from heat as I styled it but it’s hard to say. My hair was definitely not as shiny as it is with other products. Brushing my hair after using this rinse without anything else was more difficult than it normally is. I see all the reviews with 5 stars so I wonder if I’m in the minority here but it’s not something that I would go out of my way for in the future.

This is my first time using products from Surface Hair. I was skeptical and didn't know what to expect, but OH MY GOSH! Surface Hair Blowout High Gloss Rinse more than exceeded my expectations! This rinse is so easy to use. I apply and massage in my hair from roots to ends, after I'm done washing and conditioning my hair, let sit for up to one minute, then rinse my hair in cool water. I tried it by using enough to cover my hair but not my scalp after using my regular shampoo and conditioner, letting it sit for about a minute, and then rinsing it out. This Blowout High Gloss Rinse is super easy and convenient to use. I use a healthy amount of product to coat my rinsed out hair from my roots to my ends for 30 seconds after I shampoo and condition my hair. I did avoid putting the product on my scalp. The smell is not overpowering and it's a nice floral smell. After blow-drying, I do notice my hair is not as flat and has volume. My hair is also so smooth, shiny, and healthy after I blow-dry. I did not have to blow-dry as long and this product has 450 degree heat protection. This does not leave my hair feeling like it's bogged down with product and I have not noticed my scalp and hair being oilier than normal. First off, I have never used a hugh gloss rinse before, so this is something new to me and after using it just one time, I absolutely loved it!! My has never been so soft or so shiny. The scent was not over powering and it was thinner than i expected, almost like a serum with a watery texture. I washed and conditioned my hair first, then applied the BLOWOUT High Gloss as the directions said and rinsed.
