Hello everyone. This is my objective opinion after using AWAKEN's scalp detoxification and exfoliating products a few times. My scalp is oily scalp, always experiencing flat hair after 1 day of shampooing. I have tried several types of scalp exfoliation but this is the first time I feel most satisfied. The exfoliating particles are very smooth, easy to massage and penetrate on the scalp without causing pain or tangling of the hair. The fragrance is gentle and pleasant, with a cool feeling on the scalp and I really like that. It feels like you are getting hair care at the spa! Although it is a product that helps detoxify and exfoliate the scalp, it does not dry or itch hair. I find that this product helps my scalp to alkalinize oil and helps inflate the hair roots. I am very very satisfied!

This was my first time using a scalp detox product and after using it, I am definitely going to continue using it as part of my hair routine. The texture of this product does have a bit of a grit to it, similar to a body scrub and due to having charcoal in it, it is slightly grey in color. It feels so good when applying to the scalp and it does not take a lot of product either. As I was applying I started to notice a cooling and tingly sensation that also felt really good and similar to a shampoo I've used before so it was a sensation I was used to (may surprise those who aren't used to such a sensation). As for the scent, it has a minty scent that also made my shower experience feel relaxing and truly did "awaken" me. When it comes to rinsing out, it is not too difficult but you do want to make sure you get all of it out and follow up with a good conditioner. After I got out of the shower, my scalp felt a lot better and I look forward to seeing the long-term effects as I've been told a healthy scalp leads to healthier hair and I am hoping to maybe thicken my hair back up to how it used to be since due to stress, it has thinned out some.

I've tried various detox scrubs and nothing really helped me to get rid of scalp buildup like this product. This is my first ever surface product and I instantly fell in love with it. I have oily scalp and it gets really dirty very easily, this scalp scrub has really made my scalp squeaky clean with a fresh feel. Love the cooling effect it has on my scalp. This is really helpful for winter as I tend to get flaky scalp. Heard it helps me hair growth going to keep an eye and see how it does for a mini of 3 months. This has a really pleasant smell which I enjoy, I would suggest dry scalp people to use it less often as it may strip oils on your scalp. Charcoal is such an amazing component in the scrub. I love to pamper my hair with this scrub once a week.

My hairs are oily and even after 3 day of hair wash and it’s starting Build on my scalp cause oil and dust form the air . I used this scalp detox and it’s an amazing hair care product and I am surprised how wells it’s clean the scalp all the excess oil and build up like dust and all . The texture is bit grainy kind but after after wash it’s has a cooling effect . I feel my scalp so clean and hydrated. It’s an amazing product to really detox your scalp and healthy hair care routine . It’s a must part of the hair wash routine and it’s has a nice mild fragrance which really give you an experience of hair spa feels at home . The ingredients are clean and safe for all the different types of hairs . I have a long hairs and it’s became the best part of my hair care and highly recommend it .

I love discovering good hair care products and this is one of them.  The results came out great for my hair type.  I have fine, straight, and long hair.  After using, it gives me a sense of renewed hair.  My hair looks healthy and feels absolutely amazing.  It is packaged in an easy and convenient squeeze tube.  I am able to quickly flip the cap open and dispense the product without making any mess.Initially I was expecting a lot of gritty exfoliants, since the name of the product says exfoliate, but the product is more creamy and silky in texture with very little feel of grits.  I wish there were more exfoliating grits because I like the gritty exfoliating sensation on my scalp.  However, the mint in the product substituted for a nice stimulating experience.  I felt relaxed and invigorated.  My senses were awaken and I felt a cool and calming sensation to my scalp.The creamy and silky texture immediately softened my hair like a conditioner.  I was concerned that the silk coating would make my hair look flat and lifeless.  But to my surprise, it did not.  The results on my hair came out great.  The product lessened the look of dry frizzy hair.  This product would be excellent for thick, dry, and / or curly hair types.  Furthermore, my hair was so easy to comb through.  I have a healthy shine and a lightweight flow.  My hair looks more uniform and manageable.  Most importantly, my hair felt clean.  I saw my results still continued to last for the next two days after washing.  My scalp did not feel itchy nor was there a lot of oily build up during the two days period of no hair washing.  I noticed that this product helped rebalance my scalp environment.   Product is lightly scented, but does not linger.  The scent gets washed away during the rinse.I got great results from my very first try.  I am still loving the results thereafter.  I would highly recommend this product to others.

I absolutely love the surface hair awaken scalp detox!! I’ve been using it about every other day. I’ve noticed that it leaves my hair feeling soft which is weird for a product like this. Usually if I get a scalp exfoliating product they usually leave my hair feeling dry. I love that it doesn’t strip my scalp but still leaves it feeling super clean. It has a slight tingling sensation to the scalp even after it’s been washed out which I love!! I love how quick it works. You only have to massage it into your scalp for just a minute so it’s quick and doesn’t take much time at all so easy to add into your routine. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to exfoliate their scalp obviously read on it to make sure it’s right for you to use if you have scalp issues.

The Awaken Scalp Detox from Surface has been very helpful to remove the buildup that I get due to the use of dry shampoos, and it's a must before I prepare to color my roots pretty much every month. It does have a tingly feeling but the smell is pleasant and offers a deep cleanse on your scalp. Nevertheless, you have to be careful and not apply to the length of your hair as it does strip your hair of oils, so make sure to rinse thoroughly and afterwards apply your conditioner and massage it for a couple of minutes. I also use it to help with the dandruff I seem to be getting during the winter season, as it works better than most shampoos I've tried so far. The only downside would be the price considering the amount of product you're getting, but it does do what is supposed to, so for this reason, I do recommend it!

I really like the way this exfoliant feels on my scalp. It’s got a bit of a grit to it, and it’s really easy to rub together, not much lathering needed. It has a tea tree oil smell, and therefore leaves the scalp with a fresh and minty feeling, which some may like but I absolutely loved. After using it a couple times, I can honestly say that my scalp does feel cleaner, it feels more even, and I have noticed that my hair does not become as greasy as quickly as it normally does. This product works amazingly at ensuring that your scalp is detoxed and that all the oils and grime come up and out to keep your scalp clean. I would definitely use this product routinely, and do plan to buy a bottle once I finish this one. This product is life changing for my scalp.

Being a purple hair girl, I love that it is color safe! The first thing I noticed when I opened the product was the awakening scent!I know the scented ingredients have other benefits, but the aromatherapy was nice as well. I’ve never used a scalp scrub before so this was an interesting experience for me. My hair has thinned since having covid in 2022 and I’ve been on a search to find products to help remedy that for two years now. They do say that healthy hair comes from a healthy scalp. What better way to help that with making sure your scalp is healthy with a scalp massage and scrub. You use this in between your shampoo and conditioner. The charcoal detoxifies while the ingredients mint and capsicum cause your scalp to tingle and feel invigorating and fresh as well. After using my scalp does feel cleaner with less buildup. I feel like i also have less hair fall when using this scrub. This product is also color safe for all my girlies with color treated hair!

I am so impressed by how well this works! The name couldn’t be more fitting for this Scalp Detox. Because it really does AWAKEN your scalp, and bring it back to life so to speak. I find that by using this on average about 3 times a week, my roots are not as oily! It have fine/medium type hair, and it gets oily literally after one day. But not with this Scalp detox! The formula is like a body scrub. Grainy like sand, and has an uplifting minty smell you’ll love! Since you use this in the shower after you wash with shampoo, you can really feel like you’re getting pampered in a sense. I enjoy the cooling effect this has on my scalp. I am actually using a hair growth shampoo and conditioner already, that contains similar minty ingredients. So to be able to add this to my current hair care regimen is lovely! Since I’ve been using this, My scalp really feels so rejuvenated, truly detoxed, and totally free of build-up of any kind. If you find that your hair tends to get oily super fast, I’d highly recommend this product to you! And whoever is in need of a Scalp detox especially those who use a lot of different products in your hair, definitely try this one out, you’ll be amazed by the results!

I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this product, but it turned out to be a positive experience. I used the product as instructed, following shampoo. I was shocked at the quality of the product and pleasantly surprised by the tingly, fresh feeling. I felt like I was in a spa for a moment. The sensation was similar to having a menthol mask on my scalp and it felt so rejuvenating. I let the product sit on my scalp for a few minutes and basked in the shower steam. Truly epic. When I went to rinse it out, I massaged and lightly scrubbed my scalp with my fingers, which helped remove the product completely. If you don’t have time to sit there and therapeutically massage your scalp, I wouldn’t recommend using this product, as it may take some time to fully remove it. I have only ever used this product when I was certain that I had time to massage it through my scalp and fully enjoy it.I have thick, medium-length colored hair. I didn’t notice any color washing out during and after product use, which is a huge plus. However, I felt like I used quite a bit of product, about 2 tablespoons. I spent a lot of time in the beginning trying to create a foamy lather, since I’m accustomed to doing that with many shower products. But after a few minutes, I realized that this maintained a creamy texture, similar to conditioner, that does not foam or bubble.
