My greatest pleasure is to test new products and share my honest opinion with others.Recently, I was able to test out the Surface Bassu Moisture Bond Leave-In Treatment. This is a cream-based product that melts to oil with the heat of your palms. For one, this smells amazing - reminding me of a very popular vanilla, pistachio, salted caramel scent that you can’t resist falling in love with. To give you an idea, I have long hair, not insanely thick, but definitely not thin. My trouble areas have always been my ends, which seem like no matter what I do to prevent damage, always look duller than the rest, at its best. I feel this stands true for most people who like that balayage look, especially for brunettes who work overtime trying to cancel out that brassiness.This product glides through your hair effortlessly, without being too thick or heavy. I first applied it to damp hair and loved the results it gave, that I even started using it to calm my split ends on dry hair. Wet or dry, I have never had an issue with it looking greasy or like I had any kind of product in my hair. This was also perfect to use when I let my hair air-dry. It worked perfectly to tame my frizz while still allowing my natural wave to take shape. The best part is, you don’t need much. Maybe a pump or two is enough. When I’m using it for when my hair is straight, I’ve just been kind of working it in with my fingers on the ends, then pressing my hair with the remaining product on my hands. After drying, my hair feels silky soft, shiny, and you can’t even tell where my damage begins. In fact, my first thought after using this leave-in treatment was, it actually feels like I just had a haircut.Usually when our hair is damaged, we need to balance the pH scale. Whether it's overprocessed because it's been lightened, or using certain shampoos, environmental factors, or even if your styling tools are too hot, this could cause your hair to become alkaline-based. At a healthy state, our hair is naturally acidic. Surface added acidic rice proteins and amino acids to balance the damage alkaline does to your hair, that penetrates your strands, while still keeping it gentle for everyday maintenance. I can honestly say that I can tell a big difference since I've started using this. If you're anything like me and hate haircuts, this product is definitely for you. This was my first time trying a product from surface hair and I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a product this is! I have long blonde color treated hair that does have some damage and is prone to dryness so I use leave in conditioners and leave in treatment products often which help but I’m still left with dry hair a day or so later. This Bassu Moisture bond leave in treatment worked very well! It made My dry hair feel smoothe, add shine and overall just look and feel healthier. It also smelled incredible! Like salted caramel and cookies which I was not expecting but I love it! This product has great clean ingredients too such as babassu and morninga oil and rice and Amaranthan protein which is so important as it will help nourish and protect my hair over time. I can’t wait to try more from this brand!

As a beauty enthusiast with thick, dry hair, I’m always looking for products that will hydrate and tame my wavy mane (ask me about the time my friends thought an Italian man was calling me “lion girl”). Surface’s Bassu moisture bond leave-in treatment has a rich cream-to-oil texture that melts into hair to smooth and soften strands. It smells (and kind of looks) like vanilla icing, so it has created a Pavlovian response that makes me want a cupcake every time I use it.While it does make my hair softer and smoother, it doesn’t offer as much hydration as I’d like. My ends still feel dry and brittle, even after I’ve worked the treatment in. I’m hoping to see some longer-term improvement with continued use, but in the meantime I’m happy to continue using it (and enjoying the scent) in tandem with other moisture-rich oils and leave-ins.

I have 2C highlighted hair with some serious length to it. My natural waves have come out a lot since having kids, and my entire hair texture has changed. I've been looking for products to really nourish my hair and emphasize its natural wave without all of the messy, unmanageable frizz. I love that this is a "cream-to-oil" product that emulsifies beautifully in my hands before application. I find that one pump works great for me, even with having hair down to my mid-back. It disperses well and makes brushing my hair out so smooth and painless. This is a superior leave-in conditioner that truly smooths, tames, and hydrates. My thoughts on using the Bassu moisture bond leave in treatment was that it is really great product to have and use for your hair! First off the packaging, I thought the packaging was very simple but cute. I also thought the little pump press was great to have because even if you were to press it hard accidentally it wouldn’t push out a lot of the product, it would push out just the right amount of cream on your hand. Also I liked how it came with a cap so you can take it on the go if you were heading out somewhere. Second the cream itself, I thought the cream smelled really good, kind of like sugar cookies or vanilla. It also was very soft and smooth when put on the palm of your hand. When applying to my wet hair it went on smoothly and I could evenly spread it out with no trouble. It did however leave my hands feeling oily/lotiony but that’s okay because after my hair would dry up my hair felt so soft and there was no frizz whatsoever! Overall I loved this product and would highly recommend getting it.

I've been really into hair care and 3 of the products I advocate to have (besides a good shampoo /conditioner) is a leave in conditioner, lightweight oil (that can be used daily), and heat protector. Love how this conditions my hair without feeling greasy or crispy (since I blowdry my hair). My hair is shiny, smooth and helps detangled. It doesn't feel heavy either. Make sure your hair is damp so that the product properly absorbs. I like to have my hair dried with a micro fiber towel (hair wrap) so that majority of the water is absorbed, apply the product and let it have time to absorb until I blow dry my hair. I feel this method is really good for the health of my hair and not have to be under a heated blow dryer for long. Have been enjoying this so far.

I am really liking this moisture bond leave in treatment. I don’t gravitate to these types of products much because I feel like they can sometimes weigh my hair down, but this one did not do that at all. I have quite a bit of damage to my hair especially towards the ends due to bleaching and heat: I have been applying a couple pumps of this sweet smelling treatment after I shower and towel dry my hair from mid lengths down. I have been using this whether I’m air drying or blow drying and styling . Either way, the results are the same. My hair is so soft, manageable, and shiny after I use this product. Using this along with the hydrating oil is a powerhouse combo for the healthiest and most vibrant hair. This is going to be a definite repurchase for me.

As a makeup artist and skincare specialist, I am always excited to experience new products. I was recently introduced to the company Surface and given the opportunity to try their Bassu Moisture Bond Leave-in Treatment. I was looking forward to trying this product because I am always looking for products that will provide moisture and hydration. I have long wavy thick hair that tends to be frizzy, dry and tangled. I was excited to try especially because it is a leave-in treatment. So I applied the moisture bond to my towel dried hair. I decided to let it dry naturally. Once my hair was completely dry, I could see some shine but I felt that it did not provide the hydration that I needed. It was too lite weight for my hair type. It is a good product but not a good fit for me!

I am a beauty enthusiast, and I the moisture bond leave in treatment has done wonders for my oily dyed hair. I am someone who struggles to find a moisturizing product where my dyed hair does not fall out. After the shower, I apply this product to my wet ends and med length hair. The treatment is extremely lightweight, and it does not cause any additional hair fallout. After using this product for a while, my hair density started to appear a lot better. When my hair dried after using this product, my hair was a lot fuller than normal, and there was absolutely no frizz. I did not need to use any type of detangler while using this product was was excellent. The best part of the product is that it does all of these treatments while only needing a small coin sized amount of product. I highly recommend this product for anyone with dyed thinning hair.

I'm more of a milky, spray leave-in type of person, but I decided to give this lotion/cream style leave-in a try. My initial thoughts were that the product was very small and compact and could easily fit in a purse for on the go, but that it might not be great for everyday use because of how quickly the product might be used. The product claims to be a cream to oil formula, that should be applied to damp hair as a leave-in and then air or blowdryed, and that it can be used as often as needed. I applied the product to hair damp hair and the smell was very pleasing. It was sort of a Shea butter, floral scent. The scent was light and not overpowering. As someone who gets headaches from products that are too strong, this was perfect. It wasn't strong enough to be complimented on the smell of my hair by others, but it lasted quite well. My hair felt soft, but I wouldn't say that it felt hydrated. Perhaps if given the opportunity to try the product for an extended period of time I might be able to give a better opinion, but from what I saw, felt, and smelled the product seemed good for what it was. I wouldn't purchase it for the price point personally, because it didn't seem like something I would need to have in rotation.

This product has absolutely revived my hair. It has given my dull hair life and shine. It has allowed me to style my hair well, and it tamed my frizz too. There is no heavy residue or grease left over. I am able to extend my time between washes now because my hair doesn't need other products that leave buildup. The built in pump gives an appropriate sized dollop for easy product application. The amount that comes out is just right, not too much and not too little. Just press and apply. That's all I needed to do! The cherry on top is that it smells wonderful! I have low porosity hair and so finding a product that works for me has been a journey. I appreciate the ingredients list for the sake of my hair. I am looking forward to checking out more products in this line. I recommend giving this one a try!
